Security Upgrade Programme

Working entirely through our in‑house delivery team and supported by specialist contractors, we undertook intrusive pre‑construction surveys, developed compliant designs aligned with SEMD and DEFRA/NPSA requirements, and installed integrated security solutions linked to the clients Alarm Receiving Centre for centralised monitoring. The programme required careful management of complex operational sites, stakeholder engagement with councils, landowners and operational teams, and phased procurement to manage long lead times. Despite strict regulatory output deadlines, we maintained programme certainty through daily planning, weekly risk reviews and Earned Value Analysis, delivering ahead of schedule. Added value was achieved through structured project controls, regional batching, concurrent civils and electronic security works, and bespoke installation methods tailored for aged or hazardous water treatment environments. The result was a fully integrated, future‑proof and compliant security enhancement programme that significantly strengthened Thames Water’s resilience across its highest‑risk assets.
